Keeping In Touch

We decided to start a blog to help update our family and friends of our whereabouts, thoughts, feelings, and life adventures. Hopefully this will be a great tool for us to keep in touch with all out there who care about us. Not to say that those who don't care about us shouldn't read our blog for valuable insight and some occasional laughs, but that the intended purpose of the blog will be for keeping in contact. And so, here it goes...

Crocodile Farm

When biking around one evening we found ourselves in front of a crocodile farm...it was awesome-

Biking Around Angkor Wat

It was no ordinary Christmas...this one involved high temperatures, 2 bikes, a fifty cent hat (not the rapper but the cost), monkeys, other shenanigans, and destroyed temples...it was unique. We missed our families- we finished the evening with fifty cent draft (again, not the rapper's draft but a Cambodian beer cost).

From our bungalow-

Ok, I will add more photos and stuff tomorrow- but before I do I will leave you all with one last picture- This is a photo from our bungalow when we reached our destination in Thailand- Ocean Front- Awesome sunset! More tropical paradise pictures like this to come...

Phnom Penh

Yes there are 5 people on that scooter- normal everyday occurrence.

One day we went and learned about the Khmer Rouge and the "killing fields" where 50,000+ people died...overall almost 2 million people died under communist rule in less than 5 years...sad day, but important educational experience.

Then we headed to Siem Reap- where there was a toilet on our bus, but it was made for midgets and I had trouble even getting inside.

Arrived in Phnom Penh

Took a Tuk Tuk from the airport, went to our guesthouse, visited the kings house, went shopping, found a coffee in a bag, drank it, steph bought a mango, steph took a picture with an elephant still holding her mango, a monkey saw her mango and took it from her, the monkey ate her mango and was happy.

Our Month Thru SE ASIA

So, I am not sure how to tell about our trip- I think I will post as many pictures as possible first and then steph and I can go back and talk about some of them in the next few weeks- that sounds like a good plan- so...here we go!
